Finale of Vintage Challenges at Make My Monday; "Pearls & Lace"

I have loved Fliss' month of Vintage challenges at Make My Monday but this week has to be my favourite.  Produce a vintage piece but incorporate "lace and pearls" - there is nothing that evokes vintage than these two items.......

My contribution to the Design Team is a hand drawn heart which I have cut from very thick cardboard.  I have painted with a mixture of soft lilac and mint acrylic paints.  I have over stencilled with more acrylic paint and overstamped to hopefully give depth.

The focal image is from a Crafty Individuals glossy book as is the frame.  The key has been cut from grungepaper and inked with distress inks.

The flowers and the butterflies have been stamped onto card which has been coloured with distress inks.  From memory I think the flowers are from a set of Fancy Pants stamps and the butterflies are from Crafty Individuals.  Faux pearls have been added to their centres along with a trail of pearls.

The lace has been pleated and added to frame my heart........

Next week's challenge over at Make My Monday sees a new monthly theme and it's mine!  Hope it proves to be a popular one (fingers crossed).

I am entering my heart into the following challenges:-

Your work is incredible! So glad I found all of you DTs over at MMM. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind words. I am drawn to vintage images but generally use them in a CAS style. Learning a lot from studying everyone's work. Your iron box in the post above is fab. You knocked it out of the park! Take care.
