When I saw this challenge on the Gingersnaps Creations list I knew I had to play along. I first must mention however that if you take a look at the Gingers challenge blog you will get to see some amazing inspiration from the other design team members. My work is "Money Can't Buy Me Love" as from the Beatles song.
It is an 8x8 canvas board which I have stained with actual old tea bags - I always have a pile in the kitchen waiting to go into my compost bin. Waiting for this to dry a little I photocopied some old Turkish and Egyptian currency on slightly glossy good quality paper.
I then proceeded to tear three "flowers" and fold a fan from the photocopied notes - I am not sure if you will be able to pick this up in my photographs. The canvas mount was then further decorated with distress inks; Dusty Concorde and Denim. The hearts were cut by hand from Tim Holtz paper and then cuttlebugged and distressed.
The perfume bottles were stamped, distress inks added along with glossy accents....the thinking behind the perfume bottles were that "Money Can't Buy Me Love" but it sure can buy perfume - which I do so love LOL. I will take my tongue out of my cheek now and hope you have enjoyed looking at my layout......
I am also entering the Moving Along with the Times challenge again - inspired by a song and Wednesday Stamper who are looking for circles in our work.
