My DT contribution to this month's supply challenge is a page in my Art Journal (I know - not another one - I promise I have been doing other things which I cannot show yet!). Now I love my Art Journals and have numerous ones on the go. I love using my acrylic paints and inks to create random backgrounds. I have used a selection of Airondack dabbers (cloudy blue and citrus) and acrylic paint (even on my stamps - heavens forbid) and inks. I have used the never be without sequin waste and bubble wrap to create some of the background. I also used the tops of the dabbers smothered with cream acrylic paint to make the circles you may be able to see in the background. The image is courtesy of my friend "that man". I have never felt the need to have any of the Stampotique stamps but to be honest they are growing on me rather quickly. I wonder if I will be able to sneak in a second birthday this year - the Queen has two? Only jesting!
Take at look at the challenges on the
Gingersnaps Blog - fun place to be! I am so thrilled as I have been asked to be a full-time designer come Autumn and I am delighted that I get to stay on. Would love to receive your feedback (good or bad) as not everyone get the randomness of art journalling though whether mine is "proper" journalling is another debate, as I don't pour my heart out; just use sayings, quotes that I like or inspire me. I find this a lot easier and find I use a lot of my stash this way - either way I must say it is very relaxing to get a little messy sometimes and just create for the sake of it!

Absolutely gorgeous sample - love your work.
Suzanne, I love this! The background is fabulous, and that Stampotique image really is cute! Truly, I think art journaling is such a deeply personal expression that you should never worry about whether other people think you're doing it "right." There's no wrong way, and if you enjoy it, that's all that matters. The fact that what you create is so wonderful is just a bonus for those of us who get to see it!
I'm so happy you're staying on with Gingersnaps!!! ♥
Oh my goodness! This is so fab! Gorgeous and fun!
I love that blessing it's brilliant and your page is stunning too
I don't really 'get' art journaling but it doesn't mean I can't admire your lovely work! This piece is really gorgeous. Looking forward to more when you are FT :).

Awesome book and Love the Stampotique image!
Love your page, Suzanne.
I think that your journal can be anything that you want it to be. I'm not comfortable with writing personal thought on a page. It's not for everybody :)
And if anybody says that it's not the 'proper' way, then i'll hit them over the head with my BIG, new Stampotique stamp LOL!
I wanted to thank you so much for the nice comment you left me and also for following me and making up for the follower I lost. That was really sweet of you. But most of all I'm glad it brought me to your blog. I really love your style and I had a wonderful time going through all the new and old posts.
Oh Suzanne, she is lovely. S x
Suzanne, this is great! I have always wanted to do an art journal, but never really know where to start. You've given me a lot of inspiration with just this one page. Keep them coming!
