Art Exchange - "Soar" ATCs
This month's art exchange on the Gingersnaps Creations Yahoo group is to create four ATCs with the theme "soar". I love taking part in this actual exchange as it's always good to see other people's creations in the actual flesh so to speak, as a lot of our work is tactile and no matter how we all love our computers they just do give us that feeling.
My ATCs are made from mountboard with text from an old butterfly guide book stuck to it, painted with Adirondack dabbers, cloudy blue and citrus and deep pink acrylic paint through very tiny sequin waste. The images are from Crafty Individuals and the boders have been made with tissue paper and PVA glue. The quotes read:- "No one can prepare you for what heights you will soar until you spread your wings" and "Be Wise; Soar not too high to fall; but stoop to rise".
Pop along to the Gingersnaps Creations blog. There is a new weekly challenge (which last a month), tutorials, visiting artists and there is of course the Yahoo group where you can chat with like minded people - you will get a very warm welcome! Happy Sunday everyone - I am off to finish my Magic Box for the Cubby Hole. I am struggling with the words!
