It CANNOT be Tuesday again? - Tuesday Taggers - "Getting Messy Hands"

..at this rate it seems as though Christmas will be with us in 6 weeks time lol! "Getting Messy Hands" - yes, I can do this! My hands and nails are always in a shocking state...housework (even if I do use Fairy!) and crafting are not ideal if you want perfectly manicured hands. The only time it bothers me is when I go to work ....where the ladies I work with have beautifully manicured hands!!! Anyway enough warbling from me.....my project for Tuesday Taggers is an 8x8 canvas mount, which I have gessoed, layered with some patterned paper, gessoed again, painted with acrylic paint, wiped over with a baby wipe, stamped over. The squares are made from an old Next Directory and decorated. My favourite are the ones where I have put silver mirri card through my Bug, and then rubbed Stazon ink over and then acrylic paint over....the distressed aged effect is so effective in the flesh. My mount is for my Mum....just because she is the best mum I could have had! We don't do too much "soppiness" so there no are no effusive sentiments. Mum doesnt always get my craft ..... she doesnt see there is any point, but to quote Sue Roddis of Jabberwocky Fame (see the blogs I follow)....."the point is that I enjoyed making it".... Please look at TT ... more fantastic work there! Last week the entries submitted by everyone was SUPER, so different! Thank you for looking and hopefully taking the time to comment .....I do so love Comments!

Suz I don't know what I love the most your hands, or the piece you made. I love them both and as for manicured hands, you know what you can do with them...I'd rather they looked like yours in the photos!

I love the colours on this and it doesn't matter if she doesn't appreciate it, she'll know it's from the heart, which is what counts. Another reminder that I need to get a Mother's Day card made and sent off to New Zealand or I'll be late again...

I love the colours & the sentiment, (or lack of it...lol) & I would be proud if any daughter of mine gave me this for Mother's Day.....Mgt.x
