Trees and/or Leaves

Hazel is the hostess with the mostest this fortnight at the Craft Room and in readiness for the change of the seasons Hazel would like to see our projects with:-

Trees and / or Leaves

Another well know sponsor for this fortnight too ......Crafty Individuals - a super prize will be sent to the winner courtesy of them.....

My contribution to the design team this fortnight is a handmade journal (yes ...my husband is still doing the actual binding ....I just cannot seem to master the instructions for the Zutter Bin-It machine ...but to be honest I am not trying too hard especially as he is so willing and able ....lol):-   I also hope that the journals are popular at the Handmade Market in October.

The journal is 6x6 in size and is made from greyboard.  I have covered in paper and then applied texture paste (which I had already coloured gold) through the harlequin stencil.

The tree is from PaperArtsy and I have embossed this with black embossing powder.  I then coloured the background with a mixture of distress inks.    The leaves were also stamped, embossed with black before inking with distress inks.

Twine, ribbon were added to the spirals ......

Hope to get an opportunity of visiting your blogs but I am on holiday in Cornwall (hoping that my dad remains well) so please bear with me .....

Take care, Suzanne xx
