Book Cover

Hello a new challenge over at Its All About the Vintage Challenge and this fortnight's theme is to use "book cover".   My contribution as DT member is another 5x7 notebook, the stash of them are growing in readiness for the market.

The theme is open to interpretation; so I have used old book pages as the base, an image of a vintage lady with her reading book - I think she is dreaming about the hero in her book and used them on a notebook.

I have used distress inks; Weathered Wood & Scattered Straw.  A flourish was stamped around the edge of the notebook,  the flowers which were plain chipboard have been coloured with the same distress inks and old watch parts added to be the centres.  The metal corners and panels were embossed with bogs, sanded and coloured with blue Stazon.

The vintage image has been mounted onto a small canvas board which was distressed, coloured and stamped.
