Shabby & Vintage Sketch

Over at House of Cards sees the final week of the sketch challenge this month and today sees the Shabby & Vintage DT showing their intepretation of the sketch below.

My contribution to the DT is an 8x8 card - to be honest I struggled a little bit as I think I was being too literal about the sketch and agonising how I could "vintage" it up - I did take some inspiration from my fellow teamies, so thank you!

I have used old pattered paper from my stash along with music score.  I added machine stitching - as the sewing machine was already out on the table (I do hate dragging it out from under my desk lol).

The clock face is from Marianne Design Dies and the stamped image is from Artistic Outpost - I coloured my ballerina with a mixture of water colour pencils and markers.

The sentiment is from PaperArtsy and I have added lace, ribbon and pearls.

I hope you can join us in the shabby & vintage week of the House of Cards challenge this week.

I would like to enter the following challenges with my card........

That Craft Place - Stitching, real or faux
I have machine stitched a double border around my card.

I know just what you mean about being too literal with sketches!! You've made a lovely shabby vintage card with these elements - love it.

Hello Suzanne
I love the Vintage feel this card relates, the music paper looks fantastic, and juxtaposes so well with your elements, you say that you took the sketch too literal well so did I! It is difficult to do create this within genre from a sketch.
You have done a great job.
Smiles:)
Sue
