Today sees a new challenge over at the Craft Room blog. Thank you to all the wonderful entries (there was more than I expected so am thrilled) to my hosted challenge ....there was wonderful heat embossing going on. I shall be back on the Craft Room blog next week to announce the top 3.
Mervi is the challenge host this week and I think it is going to be a popular one - Mervi has provided us with a bingo grid - see below.
Our very kind sponsor for this fortnight's challenge is a new Sponsor to us so please check out the website - Sweet Poppy!
My DT piece is a canvas "Masquerade" which I made for the Cubby Hole Celebrating the Diversity III exhibition - now I wanted the masquerade theme to be subtle and as I thought that masquerade was a way of "hiding" I wanted to place emphasis on that rather than going down the mask route....I am not sure if it worked anyway but here goes...
The window and garden fences are from a Doll's House shop and I have painted and distressed these with a mixture of gold and blue paint using my fingers to apply.
My harlequins and edging is texture paste which I coloured with gold acrylic paint. So I have used two masks; one the cherry blossom on the acrylic paint and secondly the harlequin mask with the texture paste.
The Kaisercraft images and text have been stamped onto tissue paper.
I would love to enter my canvas into the following challenges and I look forward to seeing your creations over at the Craft Room in the meantime:-
Ooh-la-la-Creations Challenge - "Step Back in Time"
I hope my hidden beauty is a step back in time, either from Venetian masquerade balls or possibly Marie-Antoinette.
Have a good day...looks like rain again here so proper shoes no flip flops lol. SUZANNE X
