Heat Embossing

Today sees a new challenge over at the Craft Room blogThanks to Julia for her  challenge I really enjoyed seeing all that vintage!

My turn today to host - and the thoughts behind the theme was that if we, here in UK were having a miserable wet summer, which is always a possibility we could warm ourselves up with a little bit of

"HEAT EMBOSSING"

However as it is rather warm here in the UK please forgive me.

Our very kind sponsor for this fortnight's challenge is Stamp Addicts

I have gone overboard with my embossing powder and decorated a circular choclate box.

I recently bought what I thought was clear UTEE from my friends shop but in fact it was "interference blue".  Anyway being me I had emptied it into a tub and was already using it before I realised so I still have no clear UTEE as I could not take it back ....opened.  It's is a lovely colour (see flower centres etc) but not one I would use all the time.....

The fabric flowers and the paper rose are both cut with dies from Marianne Design.  The butterflies are part of the Tim Holtz Papillion plate of stamps.  The sentiment is from Indigo Blu as is the pocket watch you may just see poking out.  The flower spray stamp is from Chocolate Baroque and the script is an old stamp I cannot recall.

The edges of the box has been dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, swiped ove  with Versamark and Aged Gold embossing powder heated.

I would love to enter the following challenges with my decorated box.

Thunder and lightening has just arrived here in Crewe 05:55am..........Suzanne x
