"Here Comes the Summer"

Time for a new challenge over at the Craft Room blogI would like to thank Esther for her challenge "use your scraps" - best of luck to her selecting only a top three.  Maria's turn this fortnight but first:-

Our very kind sponsor for this fortnight's challenge is Liz Welch from Rarebird:

You can also join us as a Guest Designer, so please add GDT after your name when linking your entry and Mervi will in touch with you.

Lovely Maria has chosen a fabulous challenge.

"Here comes the Summer"

When doing my contribution to the DT I decided I would step outside my comfort box and keep the distressing and layering to a minimum.

The glossy image, frame (which I embossed and inked) and little girls are all courtesy of Crafty Individuals.
The pennant stamp is from Rogue Redhead and the foliage is a mixture of Elusive Images and Wendi Rhodes stamps.
The trio of buttons echoed the colours and order of the beach huts in the framed image.

Distress inks used were:-  Tumbleglass, Shabby Shutters and Mustard Seed. I masked my sun and the foliage was stamped using various inks.

I hope you can play along with us at the Craft Room with your interpretation of "Here comes the Summer".  I would like to enter the following challenges with my card:-
