"Something for a Man"

Wow, I really enjoyed visiting the entries to Maria's handmade embellishments challenge this last fortnight...found some great inspiration.

Julia's turn this week to host the Craft Room challenge and she certainly has challenged us to provide "something for a man" ..... I find these projects a little difficult as I always tend to go for flowers etc.  We are sponsored by Flonz Craft who manufacture wonderful vintage stamps.

I have used two Flonz stamps - the sail ship and anchor in my masculine card, which is 8x8 in size. The Bon Voyage and compass stamps are old stamps, which I forget as are the two sentiment stamps.

My anchor and compass have had glossy accents applied.  The corrugated card was distressed using distress inks.  My stamped panels, the ship and bon voyage have been coloured using; Faded Jeans, Vintage Photo and Bundled Sage.

I have tried to incorporate different textures from the distressed edges, corrugated card, glossy accents, embossed and distressed paper and twine to give an aged feel.  The background paper is from an old paper pack which is not named but I thought the old map was perfect for this particular card.

Looking forward to seeing you over at the Craft Room this coming fortnight!

I would love to enter the following challenges:-

(2nd Entry)

Have a good week, no meetings for me but am looking after my mum after an op today and cat sitting my sister's two moggies.  Suzanne x
