Music Easel Card

I like easel cards but I am never sure where to write my message and whether a non card maker would understand how to stand my card....I am saying this as I made an easel card for my mum and when I saw it on her mantlepiece she had stood it up wrong lol :)

This card has been created using Marianne Design "La Musique" paper bloc and the Marianne Design vintage music stamps - which I adore as there are so many elements.

The centre oval is also a new Marianne Design oval dies LR0235.  Edges of my central oval, text and corner elements have been embossed slightly with gold ep.....
I have stamped on the background paper and stamped my other images in Sepia Versafine.  My image is courtesy of Land of Nod Studios - it was a freebie and I think he looks as though he should be playing the violin in an orchestra.
Machine stitching has been added to the "easel".  Propping up the "easel" is a piece of stamped script slightly embossed around the edges and mounted on 3D tape to make it a prop.  Flourish and chiffon ribbon added.

I would like to enter the following challenges with my easel card:-

Fashionable Stamping Challenges - "Musical"

Cards for Men - "Anything Goes"

Eclectic Ellapu - "It's a Vintage Thing"

Allsorts Challenge - "For Men Only"

Thank you for looking.  Suzanne ~x~

This is beautiful and what lovely papers, stamps and dies you've chosen to put together. I know what you mean about easel cards though and some other unusual shapes - people in general do't 'get' them and have no idea how they work so I tend to stick to the conventional opening types.
