A shadow box (I think that's what it is called - it was a picture of a mouse in bright cartoon colours on the correct side. I inverted it to make it a box, it wooden. I have gessoed, sprayed and then decided to paint the inside with copper acrylic paint. The outside of the box I left sprayed and then stencilled with copper acrylic paint through a Crafter's Workshop template.
The panels are made from the covers of a Next Directory, all but one have been covered with metal tape which I scored and made patterns with tools from a metal tool kit. I used brown and black Stazon inks to cover the silver metal tape. The remaining panel has been covered with tissue tape from Marianne Design as are the corner decoration.
My stamped images are from Stampotique (bee and shrooms). My leaves are again from an old set of stamps which I don't recall the name of. My bird and butterflies are made from grungeboard. All have been coloured with a mixture of distress inks; Dried Marigold, Wild Honey and Tea Dye. The grungeboard pieces have been overstamped with a script/text stamp. The bee has been layered with acetate and gold stickles added.
As my box has a Bird, Bumble Bee and Butterflies - I included a monogram "B".
I would love to enter the following challenges with my Autumnal Box:-
I hope you like looking at my box - I have received lovely comments lately and I love reading them, they're so encouraging! Suzanne ~x~
