The Craft Room's new challenge starts today....its been great fun looking at all your fashionable creations the last fortnight and I certainly do not enzy Hazel's task of selecting just 3 entries....so today sees the talented NIKKI hosting the next challenge and she's opted for something we cannot all live without when purchasing our stash but then rarely use where I am concerned ....so thank you NIKKI!

The focal image and sentiment are also from Crafty Individuals, these have been stamped in sepia Versafine, edges distressed and gold paint added. The birds have been slightly water coloured with Victoria Velvet distress inks.
My bird cage charm was purchased from the Cubby Hole and I have added a chiffon ribbon. My "safety pin" says trinkets and also has ribbon added. The gold and pearl coloured pins were purchased from the local market.
My roses and leaves were cut from paper using Marianne Design Chines Roses Die LR0163. I don't have a meltpot so I heated some UTEE in a foil pie tray and then dipped my paper roses and leaves into it to give a really hard and enamelled look,

My piece is a decorated box. I covered it in the summer papers from Crafty Individuals, if you look closely you may be able to see I have embossed the papers and then further added a little embossing powder. I used gold and pale blue acrylic paint to edge the box.
