Strawberries & Cream Colour Combo

Jacqueline's month of associated events concludes this week over at Make My Monday and it's a lovely weekly theme:-

A colour challenge of Strawberries & Cream and Green to celebrate the season and Wimbledon.  Here is my card which again is relatively uncluttered for me!  I am learning from my teamies over at MMM.  I have opted to use just the strawberries & cream colour combo....

It's A5 in size and in my world Strawberries can vary in shades of red I have used different shades of red.  At Wimbledon lots of Strawberries and Cream are eaten - I also think of afternoon tea when I think of Strawberries and Cream so that is the route I have gone down with my vintage teapot and teacup  (very old See-D's stamp set) along with a paper doily.

My crumpled flower (Portobello Paper) has been scrunched and layered about eight times before a cream button was added.

Is'nt my cameo lady lovely - she's just the type to have afternoon tea from a china cup!

Swiss dots was used to emboss the bottom of my card before a large red ribbon bow and cream "knicker" (don't laugh!) elastic added.  The sentiment is from a Papermania set of stamps and the flag tag was edged with coloured pencil.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenge:-

a super card for the challenge - strawberries with afternoon tea is just right. I didn't laugh (honest) at your pretty elastic and love the vintage teapot and cup.

Suzanne, this is absolutely amazing! I've loved it since I saw it on the DT blog--gorgeous use of embellies, images, and perfect layout! :)

Stunning card Suz. Love the way the teapot and cup really pop from the card and the simplicity in style is so elegant.
Hugs, Fliss xx
PS: Who stole the week?!

Your card is so pretty Suzanne with that charming little tea set and doilies and I think the white space sets them off beautifully! I'm afraid I did laugh at knicker elastic because I have a very immature sense of humour! My daughter says "My Mother, the nine year old school boy!" Vicky x
