Craft Room New Challenge...

Well the birthday blog hop for the Craft Room  was an over whelming success so thank you to all....I shall send my prize out very shortly when I get back home!  Zoe, our challenge leader has sent this fortnight's challenge and usually this sort of theme would send me running to the hills....

Our Furry, Four Legged Friends!

BUT...........

having never being an animal lover last October my husband and I all of a sudden adopted a cat from Cats Protection (we cat sat our son's little pussy cat and this swayed us ...) so please meet DOMINO....he is a right little character and a typical tom cat ....(reminds me of my sons!).  The little chap has wormed his way into our hearts and to say that we are totally smitten is an under statement.  My offspring just laugh and call me the mad cat woman!

We are sponsored this fortnight by:-

Here is my decorated key holder featuring one of the loves of my life!  I painted the house in a pale green, applied crackle medium and painted again in a dark green.  I then applied harlequins by stamping onto tissue paper before applying with watered down PVA...I deliberately did not fill in the patches as I wanted it to look weathered.

Grungeboard was coloured with distress inks.
Close up of Marianne Design Key Die LR0193 which was cut from silver mirri card and coloured with a combination of green and black Stazon ink.
My flower pots are Woodware stamps which have been coloured with a mixture of distress inks and markers.
The sentiment "Home is where the Heart is..." is from a plate of Creative Expressions stamps and my Marianne Design Leaves die LR0192/ have been coloured in the same way as my key.

I would like to enter my key holder into the following challenges:-

This is a wonderful project Suzanne! I love the little flower pots outside the house and your cat peeking out of the windows. I'm so pleased you've discovered the joys of feline ownership - they are hilarious as well being soft and cuddly! Vicky x

This is lovely. The way you have created the harlequin design is fantastic and looks so effective!! I'm allergic to cats myself - and they always seem to sense it and head straight for me!! Thanks for joining us at Crafty Cardmakers this time! Cxxx
