Put your feet up it's a long post and I hope you stay with me.....Over at the Craft Room Challenge Blog we are celebrating our first birthday and as such
to celebrate our first year of challenge's we decided to celebrate with you who
have made fortnightly bit of fun such a success, so we are having a blog hop.
We are joined in this by one of our Wonderful sponsors, Liz Welch of Rarebird,
the main prize a Bend it Shape it DVD has been donated by Rarebird for one lucky
winner.
So basically we have a blog hop (running until 20:00hrs on 11 June) and our normal challenge running. Julia has set the challenge which will run for the usual fortnight and she would like to see a BIRTHDAY CARD!
Our hop has a little twist instead of looking for a letter at each stop there
will be a very easy to answer question. Remember do not leave the answer to the
question in your comment! Do please leave a comment at each stop, there is a
prize donated by each team member to be won.
You should have arrived here from Liz's blog and your next stop after here will be Julia
Like all such events the rules are simple visit each blog in the hop, leave a
comment and make a note of the question. When all the stops have been visited
you will end up back at the challenge site, don't forget to leave a comment
there! Send an email to Zoe, our blog leader with the answers to all the questions and have
fun!
Well here goes:- my question is related to my prize and as I am fortunate enough to be on both the Marianne Design (which is a company based in Holland that produces beautiful dies, stamps and papers) world DT and the Marianne Design Divas DT my question is:-
Here is my DT piece for the theme of "Birthdays" - I decided on a Banner inspired by our own Queen Elizabeth who celebrates one of her birthdays in June and her diamond jubilee.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Craft Room celebratory blog hop . Suzanne ~x~

Well here goes:- my question is related to my prize and as I am fortunate enough to be on both the Marianne Design (which is a company based in Holland that produces beautiful dies, stamps and papers) world DT and the Marianne Design Divas DT my question is:-
What Nationality is Marianne of Marianne Designs?
My Prize
Includes Marianne Design Papers and images, a cute Don n Daisy Stamp and the star, Craftables Butterfly Die
Nice and simple - I hope you like my prize and email Zoe with the answer to the question. Please remember to leave me a comment so I know you have "blog-hopped" over to visit me. Now continue your hopping over to Julia:-My Prize
Here is my DT piece for the theme of "Birthdays" - I decided on a Banner inspired by our own Queen Elizabeth who celebrates one of her birthdays in June and her diamond jubilee.
I have used the Portbello papers from Papermania which I have stamped round with a PaperArtsy flourish in Versamark and then embossed with Shabby Blue embossing powder from Stampendous. I have used a selection of other stamps, including See-Ds.
You can see I have stamped my dress form onto paper and then embossed. Wings stamped in sepia were added along with a paper rose and netting which I further coloured with distress inks.
My centre pennant has used the Marianne Design Lady die of die Lord & Lady LR0211 whichI have embossed completed with the shabby blue embossing powder before adding a pearl necklace and a silver crown. the top trim on my pennants are also Marianne Design die lace-edging-LR0161
"Dream ..Queen for a Day" as all birthday girls should be Queen on their special day lol:)
My third pennant is that as you are Queen for the day with your posh frock, crown etc you will of course have an afternoon tea served on vintage china ........
The centre piece here (also embossed) is a fleur de ly symbol along with the teapot, teacup and cupcake.
I would like to enter my birthday pennant into the following challenges:-
Looking forward to seeing you at the Craft Room celebratory blog hop . Suzanne ~x~
