Sorry for the late posting - but I have been on "nanny" duties all day for 7-month old Lillie! Her Mummy's first day back at work! Spring is all about new beginnings/new life so we at Make My Monday this week would like to see your craft work inspired by this. I decided to opt for the new beginning of a little life ... a newborn baby!
Not only has my own granddaughter inspired this but also the new releases I was kindly provided with by Marianne Designs. They are stunning as the colours are very springlike and there is a vintage feel to them also - so right up my street I must say!
For Make My Monday I have made a "tri-card" from the Vintage Pastels Paper Bloc and Eline Romantic Nursery Decoupage sheets from Marianne Designs.
I have purposely not overladen the tri-card with embellishments as I wanted the paper and the decoupage images to be the main focus. The daisies, star and butterfly have been embossed with white embossing powder.
I have added hand stitching on each panel.....I am pleased with myself how this turned out (it's been a while). On one of the panels I have added a verse - I am sorry but I cannot remember where I saw this is on the net but it sort of just talked to me!
Hope you can join in with my fellow DT friends over at Make My Monday
I am entering my tri-card into the following challenges:-
Always Something Creative - "spring awakenings"
Delicious Doodles - "wonder of life"

The sun is shining brightly; the birds begin to sing
And everything is ready for the coming of Spring
And then the flowers say softly
"Wake up - we shall be late!"
For Baby's rosy fingers do love the flowers so.
