Monochrome + 1 with Fashionable Stamping

This fortnight the Fashionettes over at the Fashionable Stamping challenge blog would like to see entries using a monochrome colour scheme - the twist is they have asked to see one other colour with it......

Okies despite having lots of DT work to do I just had to play along!  My card is an 8x8 kraft base.  My choice of monochrome is "shades of brown" and the extra colour is "royal blue" (I hope).

The theme of the card is royalty/patriotic as we in Britain have a busy year with our Queen celebrating her diamond jubilee and the Olympics coming.....so that's why I put the "royal blue" with the browns.  I really hope it is okay!

The background was inked and then stamped over with various stamps and square sequin waste was used to ink through.  Faux stitching was added.  The centre panel is a page from a very old London guide book which was further inked.  My Queen and King are from Lost Coast Designs.  Other stamps used are Indigo Blu and   My Paper World.
Along with Fashionable Stamping I am also entering my card into the following challenges:-

Another one of my fave challenges.  My brown lace is a trim at the bottom of the centre panel and ribbon has been used on my tag.

Anything Goes Challenge - "Bingo"
First time of playing so I hope I have got this right:-  Your Choice, 2 or more stamped images, distressing, ribbons and lace......?

I have also registered with Mr Linky as we may be losing Google Friends ....I am not sure (think it may be those that use something other than blogger) but it was relatively easy to sign up to Linky in any event, see the right hand side of my blog...would love it if you want to follow me there!
Thanks for visiting today!  Suzanne ~x~
