Butterflies just for fun!

I have been stressing about my pieces for the Cubby Hole exhibition.  Nothing seems to be working my daughter says I am looking at them too much as they are all lined up on one of the fireplaces.  So last night I just decided to play and knew I wanted to produce one of the embellished cards that I see so much in blogland.  I do like these and all the work that goes into them.  So I put my stamps and inks on one side (gosh that was painful (though I had a small relapse when it came to the focal butterfly (Personal Impressions stamp and distress inks).

I also used my gorgeous Marianne Creatables dies to make the roses - this is the first time of using this die and already I know it's going to become a fave.  Talking about Marianne Creatables - there is a new challenge blog on the block and they have DT call with a closing date of 31st July.  The details can be found HERE!  Even if you don't wish to enter the DT call - there is candy up for grabs.  This looks as though it's going to be great fun as I do have quite a lot of these dies now (and have an even longer wish list lol).

Whoops I note Blogger has lost one of my photos (and all of my "reading list/blogs I follow") of the whole card, which is an 8x8 - will have to amend when I get home to my laptop.  But in the meantime I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

I have used the main "wishes" and then used text from an old book for one of the centre mounts.

Tonight and tomorrow is back to the exhibition work!  Don't forget to check out my blog candy which can be found  HERE!
