Have made it my mission to play along with this challenge. There is a brillant design team over at the Crafty Individuals Challenge Blog and this month they have inspired us witht the theme of "Vintage with a Heart".
My entry is a 3" x 12" canvas which I have gessoed, painted, added some Crafty Individuals summertime paper, spritzed and spritzed some more. The final layer on the canvas was some distress ink, "peeled paint" through a Crafter's Workshop stencil.
The little metal charms were added - these were coloured with alcohol inks to age and to tone with the canvas. Butterfly images from a Crafty Individuals pad were then added as a finishing touch.
I hope that the ladies over at the Crafty Individuals Blog feels this canvas fits their theme. I am also entering this piece into the following challenges:-

I cut three hearts from card, painted with gold acrylic paint and overstamped with C-I stamp 237, I then edged with alcohol inks and gold cord added.
I coloured a piece of card with distress inks; peeled paint, victorian velvet and shabby shutters, which I then stamped the images and text from the C-I plate of stamps CI-277.
