"Nature's Spirit" - Gingersnaps DT Piece

Hello - its time for another DT piece for the fantastic Gingersnaps Creation Challenge Blog.  Its a "supply" challenge and keeping in with the wild west you need to use "twine" (or string for us UK crafters) in your project.  You have a whole month to play along so you have time to get your thinking caps on!

I decided to make an accordian book/card using Crafty Individuals papers, stamps and images along with a couple of text stamps from Paperartsy.  I used twine around the focal frame (which I coloured with distress inks) on the front but I also used it to mask when spraying with inks.

The inks I have used for stamping are distress inks; Victorian Velvet, Tea Dye and Walnut Stain.  The Crafty Individual stamps used are:- CI - 193, CI - 237, CI - 171 and a selection of some small ones.

It was a bit of fun getting photos for this project due to the wind and mostly my lack of skill when it comes to photography.  I tried outside, the kitchen and the lounge hence all the different backgrounds.

I hope you like my "twine" (I especially love how the masking using the twine worked) project for Gingersnaps - there is some fabulous pieces from the other DT members.

I am entering this accordian book into the following challenges:-

Its all come together really beautifully. Its a technique I LOVE doing- might just have to do some today now I've seen this. The effect is all 'twiggy' as a background for your birds. PERFECT!
