Gingersnaps 'Supply' Challenge - "MISTS"

New challenge - MISTS.  Now this is my second piece for the  Gingersnaps Creations Design Team - though I still liked my first piece I thought this one suited the Far East theme better.  An oriental style is something that I have always struggled with ... though I do adore working with my spray inks / mists.  The sprays I have are from a range called "Sticky Fingers" and these are manufactured in the UK and are really reasonably priced when compared to some of the mists on the market and I luuuuuuuurvvvvvv them!

I took a page from my most recent Pink Pig journal ...just because I do like working on the thick paper rather than card sometimes.  I sprayed lightly with a "grass green" and "pink" mist.  I then used a Crafters Workshop stencil to get my cherry blossoms inking through with a sponge and Victorian Velvert distress ink.

My three tiles are from an old sheet of Merly Hollands toppers, which I have adhered to a thick board and then triple embossed with UTEE.  I sprayed some additional paper (which was slightly glossy) with the same spray inks, daubed gold Ranger dabbers and then used a butterfly die and a small flower punch.

I hope you can find the time to play along with us at Gingersnaps - there are some great pieces of work by the other DT members andfabulous entries each month.

I am also entering this piece into the following challenges:-

The Stamp Man - "Embossing".  I know its an old favourite but my three tiles have been triple embossed with UTEE and close up these are really effective, just like enamel.

Paper Take Weekly "Dimension".   My butterflies have been layered twice and are flying off the page.
