"Gifts"

Hello, I took my inspiration from Linda Elbourne's recent article in the February issue of the Craft Stamper where she created cards that held seed packets as small gifts.  The instructions were perfect and I think its a great  idea!  I wanted to make these Easter gifts for my mum (who adores Sweet Peas) and my two work colleagues.
I deliberately did not use easter themed stamps (maybe because I do not own any) and used colours and images I thought each recipient would like.

I have used a trio of different distress inks on each card.  The backgrounds on all three cards were stamped with my faithful Hero Arts text stamp and and Elusive Images swirl.

Woodware owl stamps used.  I purchased this cute set of acrylic stamps from the Cubby Hole, not my usual style but for some reason I could not resist.  Sian will  hopefully love the subtle green used.
Stamps used on Jayne's card were the Stampotique "Shrooms" and butterflies from a Crafty Individuals plate, all were stamped onto a text book.
Mum's colours were influenced by the colour of the Sweetpeas that she loves and the butterfly stamp was from a Personal Impressions plate.

I am entering my "gift cards" with the seed packets (when I get a chance I am going to do the same with bookmarks as the gifts) into the following challenges:-

The Stamping Boutique who has asked to see our "things with wings".
Corrosive Challenges who's theme this week is animals - I hope my butterflies and owl fit this theme.
The Shabby Tearoom has a theme of butterflies based on the most wonderful photograph
Sparkles Forum Challenge  where this week anything goes
