Well it was at the
Cubby Hole yesterday, where I did a workshop with Sarah Anderson, "Love Collage". Materials supplied to us was a very basic frame from Wilkos, corrugated cardboard, kitchen towel, spray inks, dabbers, tissue paper, lace etc etc and etc.
(Forgive the shine/reflection from the glass - David Bailey I am not)
Here is my result. I knew I wanted to use neutrals and a deep pink and that is all I knew:) Anyway I do like how it turned out, very shabby chic and romantic and lots of
texture. I still need to work on the frame - which I have decided to go darker. It is surprising what you can do with a bit of corrugated card, kitchen towel and a lot of PVA glue.
(the colours are a little stronger but the light is not good here at the mo...very grey)
I would have entered it into the
Lets Ink It Up Challenge - where I begin my DT position in March (yipeee) - when I suddenly realised I did not use any stamps on the main body of this piece. The only stamps used were on the frame (which isnt finished).
Well I am off for a walk in readiness for the Race for Life which I am doing in June with some of my family. X

Wow Suz! I bet in real life there is so much texture which can't be seen in the photo. Very nice!

Absolutely stunning, Suzanne!
Hi Suz
WOW This is absolutely stunning, the texture you have created is wonderful. I know you've taken the JFF link off your piece but please put it back on. Sometimes these things happen and you do read things wrong, it's ok, it our first challenge, you have a heart and after all, it is just for fun. Hope to see you over there again - Sam xxxx
Hi Suzanne adore this stunning piece and as we are "Just for Fun" our rules can be flexible that heart looks to me like it is flying away there! If however you do want to remove your link from our new challenge there should be a little red x by your link clicking that will allow you to delete it. Hope you check back on Thursday when we have a new winged challenge. XOXO Zoe
Finished result looks great!!
Hi Sue, the colours do look more muted than they actually are... butgorgeous in real and cyber.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I just love all the layering and texture and soft faded hues. Beautiful work! And congrats on the new design team, too. ;)
