All curtesy for .."Kings & Queens"

FEBRUARY sees a new overriding theme at Gingersnaps Creations and it is "Kings and Queen" - how cool is that? The ladies at Gingersnaps always give us such fabulous themes.

Well I could not resist selecting this theme as one of my DT pieces this month.  Here in the UK we will be celebrating the wedding of one of our future Kings, Prince William to Kate Middleton so in celebration of this (AND the extra day's holiday we shall be getting) I have gone mad on a journal page.

The "king and queen" stamps are courtesy of Lost Coast and I just love them...think you may be seeing these again and again lol:)  The image is from an old London guide book and has been ripped into two - but it is the inside of Westminister Abbey where the happy couple will take their vows....

The lettering has been done by hand with a mixture of white and black charcoal pencils and a little bit of Sharpie pen, which has then been blended.

You have a month to play along with this fabulous theme and dont forget to take a look at the other DT pieces......all very very different.  Amazing how the same "words" can invoke such different creations!

I just bought this set of stamps from Lost Coast, so I was excited when I saw your beautiful stamped artwork using them. I've always loved this set and for some reason I waited forever to buy it. At any rate, I have them now and I loved what you've made here using those same images, it looks awesome!!
