Gingersnaps Creations "Inchies" & WOYWW

Hope my journal cover does the Gingersnaps Creations  inchies challenge justice, take at peek at the other DT members work - it will be worth it.  I passed some gold mirri card (this is a fantastic alternative to the more expensive metal) through the Cuttlebug using the cogs embossing plate.  I coloured the mirri card using timber brown, midnight blue and forest green Stazon ink pads, going over and over until I was happy.  I then coloured some white card using a mixture of Walnut Ink, Rusty Hinge, Pine Needles and Honey distress inks - stamped various images which were mainly the free stamps from the Craft Stamper magazine (dont you think these are always fab?).

The background was made using old text book and coloured with distress inks.  I even used my daughter's sewing machine .... she allowed me, I did ask permission m'lord honestly!  Chipboard letters were sanded down, coloured with various distress inks, water and then embossed with UTEE.

Hope everyone enjoys the Inchies challenge ...there are loads of ways to incorporate inchies into your work so have fun experimenting.

I have not been able to take part the last few weeks and have missed having a "snoop".  Well anyway I have had a tidy up ...... had no option really!  We were drowing under my "tat" as my DH calls it!  I wonder how long it will stay like this? Mmmmmmmm.  Take a look at the other desks .... though there are a few (tongue in cheek).  We are a nosey bunch!

My Bug and a couple of items awaiting "altering".
Some of my altered books and canvases
OH....WHAT's THAT?  ........Oh yes that's my dining room table!  My DH did say we had one!  Though you will still see the sewing machine!
Will try and get round lots of desks!
HAPPY WOYWW Everyone!

Your journal cover is MY kind of art. When I first started this WOYWW journey, there were way too few altered artists. Now I'm seeing more and more. Love the journal cover SO much. I'll be back often, and not just on Wednesday. Happy WOYWW.
