Gingersnaps #64 Yellow Red & Orange & WOYWW

A busy post from me ...hope you are sitting comfortably?
This month's colour theme challenge at Gingersnaps Creations is Yellow, Red & Orange to fit in with the overall theme of Sunshine.  The sunflower stamp I have used  is the very first stamp I purchased from Carol at the Cubby Hole and as such has a very special place in my heart.  I used three Distress Inks; Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Aged Mahogny on a craft sheet and added water to make my background.  I then made four panels using Crafty Individuals and Debbie Moore stamps with the same three inkpads with a touch of Latte dye ink!  Added ribbon, little tag and chipboard word.  Oh yes I also coloured the sunflower with pencils.

Also it's Wednesday take a look at WOYWW.   This is a lot of fun - snooping around crafters desks and stash.  As usual mine is the usual organised chaos (Mmmmmm when I get a craft room it will be tidy she daydreams.......who am I kidding, it will be worse because I will be able to shut the door :).  On my desk is a glimpse of a journal page I am waiting to be inspired to finish .....but look how clever I am it also fits in with the colour theme at Gingersnaps!  You can see the Debbie Moore sheet of stamps I got as a gift for subscribing to Craft Stamp and my simply cannot live without Smartprice Asda Baby Wipes

Art Journalling is something I do entirely for me (you do not give it away and you have your journals to look back on). I get a lot of enjoyment and relaxation from it.  I don't pour my heart out though - just sometimes use quotes or sayings I like.  Would love to hear from other art journallers

Here's my basket of Pink Pig Journals that I use for my journalling.  If you are still reading - thank you!  Know it's a long one!

I'm a newbie journaller. Think I'm enjoying it over scrapbooking if I'm honest. I find the whole actual journalling side hard though - your idea is a good one - to use quotes and phrases. Love your basket of journals.

I used to be a journaller once. (Even had out and about 7 journals to proof it) but then one day decided to store them on the attic and then I started crafting...
Now I scrap my life. Very strange though, I almost never use journalling on my scrap pages :) I think it has to do with the journals, I still think it's too personal :)
Have a nice evening!

Your card is lovely, great colors. Journaling is something I start and stop, think I have given up. Used to go to bed and write just before putting out the lights. They (whoever they are) say it is a theaputic thing to do before bed.

Ah the journallers are starting to rise up - there are quite a few WOYWWers who journal. Love the no pressure thing you have with them, it would be lovely to browse them. Your GS card is lovely, fab colours.

What a wonderful creative desk. Fabulous sunflower card and I love the Stampotique image, fabulous colours. You asked me had I looked through my waste bin looking for my missing stamp - I never, ever throw out my bin without going through it with a fine tooth comb. I have caught my cat with a stamp in his mouth so it could be anywhere. Thanks for the suggestion though.
hugs Heather xx

I make my journals and do all my first draft pieces in my journals, and take notes for commissions in there so for sure I can't lose them!

I just started journaling, i'm hosting a CJ just to get a feel for the whole thing, i love the idea of keeping art just for yourself to reflect on, but i'm still finding my feet. Here's hoping my mind will free itself soon and the pages will flow, as it looks like yours are :D

I know how late I am this week, but I was glad I made it by to see your journals. Although I don't journal, I make them. And I want to see more of that desk, too (grin). Happy belated WOYWW.
