GingerSnaps Challenge - #59 Fairies & WOYWW

Everybody believes in Fairies don't they?  I hope so because it is this month's theme for the Random Redhead Challenge on the Gingersnaps Blog:- Gingersnaps Creations  Have a feeling this is going to be a popular one.  The call is for all types of fairies; cute, mystical, edgy etc.....

For my guest designer slot I altered a tin I picked up from a car boot from a fishing store that had lots of lead in it....as dh said he could make use of the lead and I could alter the tin.  The lead is still in a bag in a drawer.  Now what does that tell us about the difference in the sexes.  I gessoed the tin, painted with acrylic paint and covered with Crafty Individuals paper.  I decoupaged my little nymph fairy and painted her with marvy markers.....she now looks after some of my tiny bits and bobs. The saying is lovely:- "Fairy Dust is like love it creates magic whenever you give it away".  Take a look round the other DT blogs......fantastic inspiration.

WOYWW time again.  It was a special anniversary there last week for Julia and I am afraid with everything happening I did not have time to make a piece and play.  If you do get chance to take a look this is such fun and gives you a little peep into other crafters world....tonight after work I am going to have a good old nose!  My table is a little chaotic......I am altering a chocolate box into a "Magic Box" for the Cubby Hole swap.  I think you may just be able to see the start of my box.  We have to write out what we "wish" for our recipient ......I know my recipient very well so have a little idea now just to get the words on paper and fill the box with these wishes.  The link to the "Magic Box" poem can also be found at the Cubby Hole site.....my wish for myself would be a fairy to come and tidy up after a crafting session :)  Next week I think I will show you my journal basket - I have been missing my journalling. Happy WOYWW Everyone - thanks for taking a peek!

PS. The last image above is an upside down photo of the lovely paper pad the lovely Norn gave me for my birthday.  Now I am not a stroking paper kind of gal (would rather use it ;) but this one has me stroking....it has flock on some pages..................
