Gingersnap Creations & WOYWW

I am sorry I did not keep my promise to be a better behaved blogger but unfortunately my dad is still in hospital .... and is still poorly.  I have been doing a little spasmodic crafting when I have passed the dining table and seen as this is on the way to the kitchen ... thats a good few times a day ....as the diet has also gone out of the window!  When stressed a girl needs ice cream and chocolate!

For WOYWW http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ ..... the pictures are of some of my stamps which are scattered around the house; in dining room, under stairs in hall and upstairs on landing ..... and my desk showing some backgrounds that are waiting for me to turn into a card and a tin which is waiting to be altered.  This was great fun last week especially if by nature you are a nosey so and so .....I managed to visit about a third of the blogs and my aim is to improve on that this week.

The card is for the Gingersnaps Colour Challenge where I am a guest designer for a few months...this is a welcoming challenge blog ... with a new challenge every week.  Due to my circumstances I have been a little neglectful as I have not been able to visit other people's blogs and join in on the Yahoo groups....for this I am sorry to all but also for myself because I have missed it and am sure I have missed some lovely creations.
This weeks colour challenge was to use burgundy, ivory and black as this month's overall theme is "Read" and the three colours bring to mind old books.  My piece is quite simple with black embossed card mounted on burgundy with some text from an old book and some houses, moon and text stamped - which have been simply water coloured with black and burgundy.  The other designers works for this challenge are stunning take a look;- http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/

I am in awe of this card. I'm not a fan of cards, but I could fall in love with this one. Gorgeous!

Sorry to hear about your father, too. I know how time consuming and nerve wracking that can be.
