Art Exchange - GSC Yahoo Group

...First time taking part in the Art Exchange for Gingersnaps Creation Yahoo Group. This month we have been provided with the flower template and then given carte blanche. I was not sure if to do all my different as others have but I just cannot seem to get out of "matching" my work - must be a throw back to my ATC swaps etc.
Anyway I love flowers and butterflies and with a flower template I just could not get past using butterflies....I also got out my Cuttlebug from under the stairs and cuttlebugged some coreindations (is this the right word? Am at work and cannot check!) and then sanded to get the darker colour through. Text used from an old guidebook on butterflies from a charity shop, coloured with distress inks. Butterflies stamped and layered and then old faithful Crafty Individuals images mounted onto board and triple embossed with UTEE to make enamel tiles - I am not sure if you are able to see these in the photographs. THEN the piece de resistance - I have - yes I HAVE stitched all round the flowers with embroidery thread.
Hope I have dones this swap justice - I would hate to think that any recipient may be disappointed and I am playing along with some super duper crafters.............
